Beaver Winter Sleepover

Dear Parents,

The beavers will be having our annual Beaver Sleepover on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 pm until Saturday, December 7 at 8:00 am.  For some Beavers, this will be their first time away from home (without their parents), and will be an important experience to prepare them for the upcoming Winter Camp.

Event: Beaver Winter Sleepover

Place: St. Matthew United Church

Drop off Date & Time: Friday, December 6, 2013 at 7:00 pm

Pick up Date & Time: Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 8:00 am

Cost: $10 per Beaver (Includes rental for the church, a night-time snack, craft materials, etc)

If there are any circumstances that the Beaver Leaders should be aware of (e.g. washroom schedules), please let the leaders know.  Beavers are to show up to the sleepover in full uniform, and should participate in the packing of their bags so that they can find things easily.  Please ensure that your child has an extra change of clothing just in case of “accidents”.

Please note that dinner will not be served, so please have your child eat before coming to the Sleepover. A snack will be served later on in the night, and breakfast will be served on the following morning.  If your child is ill, please have him/her stay home.

There may be chances that we will be taking the Beavers outside to enjoy the weather, so please make sure your child dresses accordingly.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Scouter Esther.

I hope you will consider allowing your child to join us on this exciting event.

P.S. Please inform us of any allergies or medication that your child may have to help us plan better.

P.P.S. Please note that you do not need to go to Silver Stream P.S. on December 6, 2013 regardless of whether or not your child will be attending the sleepover.

To make it easier for the leaders to organize the event, please try to limit the number of luggage your child brings.
